The Coachman

Sinopsis

Marcos Aguinis and Jorge Bucay are two of the most well-known and influential thinkers in today’s Argentine society. Facing them are large live audiences. What is the reason for these ‘town meetings’? To co-author a book based on the exchange of questions, answers, opinions, testimonies and stories on topics that concern all of us. During a six-month period, Marcos Aguinis and Jorge Bucay traveled to the cities of Rosario, Buenos Aires, Mar del Plata, Punta del Este, Cordoba, and Mendoza to participate in town meetings with large audiences. Thus, each page of this book was written based on concerns, worries, hopes and experiences of real people. Togetherness, separation, fidelity, infidelity, loneliness, crisis, addictions, violence the numerous questions and answers are filled with interpretations, surprises, and unexpected twists where the authors divulge criticisms, practical advice, stories and personal anecdotes, teachings, drama, information, and tenderness.

It is said that many authors are often surprised by the interpretations of their readers who add the last note to a long melody that is a book. This time, Marcos Aguinis and Jorge Bucay have decided to remove this veil and write together with the audience, face to face, out of genuine improvisation. ‘The coachman’ is a live book.
